My daily calorie intake is set to 1400 cals. My Carbs is set to 55%, Protein is 25%, and Fat is 20%. I always end up going over my fat% by 5-10. So, my question is, will I just gain weight even though I don't go over my cals, carbs, and protein?

And one more thing, my cholesterol is set to 300 but I'm always going over by 200-300. What will happen?

eating fat doesn't make you fat. No more then eating carbs makes you fat or eating protein makes you fat. Eating too many calories makes you gain weight. It doesn't matter what kind of calories you eat, eating too many will trigger your body to fill the fat cells in your body. Now, that being said, fat doesn't translate into energy quite as well as complex carbohydrates. Fat is needed to do many things in the body, there are many fat soluable vitamins that require good fat (omega 3 and 6 fatty acids). Things to keep at a minimum are saturated fats and trans fats (hydrogenated oils).

Cholesterol is a requirement of our body, we need it. However, going over your cholesterol consistantly can have negative ramifications. I would try to cut back a little.
  • what he said LOL. totally true. I would however watch your fat intake as going over on a consistant basis cant be all that healthy. Also, going over on your cholesterol by that much is NOT GOOD. Methinks you need to revamp your diet deary.
