2 Lame NSVs- But Wanted to Share Anyway

so i had 2 NSVs in the past few days and i wanted to share. they are both kind of boring compared to people losing multiple clothing sizes, or when i realized my earlobes were smaller, but oh well.....
1. i had a HUGE event yesterday so i was (still am) super sleep deprived, very irritable, etc. and one of our shareholders who was going to speak was hanging out near the registration table with me and he was reading an email that went to everyone in the firm regarding the dress code, appearance, etc. and we were laughing about it and i said "i totally thought that was directed at me because i couldn't be bothered to get my nails done over the weekend" and he laughed and said "yeah, but i think it says no pajamas, and you've lost so much weight since you started that your clothes are too big!" and i said "oh, i didn't realize i had told you about my diet" and he said "you didn't but you've lost what- about 30, 40lbs since you started?" and i said "yeah, about 45, 75 overall". and he was like "that's amazing, that's a lot of weight to lose, if you didn't look so healthy and upbeat, i would have thought you were sick to lose that much" which i thought was really nice (not the losing so much it should have been bc i was sick, but that he noticed and then said i looked healthy and happy) and it was cool because it was again, a shareholder (they really don't need to care about us lowly managers) and one that i don't even really work with too often.
2. my best friend of 15 years told me over the weekend that i was the thinnest i have been since she met me in college. now i am not delusional enough to fancy myself as "thin" in general, but knowing that i am getting there is pretty awesome.
oh and as a half NSV- while i was out of the office yesterday, our president's admin left a cupcake (from this AMAZING bakery) on my desk (she only gave them to select favorite people) and when i came in this morning, i sent her a quick email to say thanks that was so sweet, etc. and then i threw it in the trash. never in my life would i have thought i would be in a place with my willpower where i could do that.
so yeah, just wanted to share.

Hey, that's great!! Especially throwing away the free cupcake. That would have been really tough for me to do. No NSV is unimportant, if you ask me! Congrats!0

Those are awesome, and not lame at all! ANY victory - scale or no - is worth celebrating. Otherwise, what the hell are we doing on here?! I've only lost 3 lbs, but someone at my work told me I looked thinner, out of the blue. Well, that carried me for 2 weeks
Nice job on all your NSVs!0 -
You're so silly, those are awesome NSV's!!! I have yet to have but one or two people actually say anything to me about my weight loss. You are doing awesome! Oh and btw, I never would have been able to throw away that cupcake.... so kudos to you!!! You are rockin this! Congrats girl! :bigsmile:0

Yay! Those are great NSV's!! Isn't it powerful to be able to throw that cupcake away? I tossed most of a fantastic piece of cake (surreptitiously) in the garbage last night, because a few bites was enough.0
