This may not be much but, I am proud of myself. I have been following a training schedule for a mini marathon for the past 6 weeks and today I actually jog the entire time. 4.1 miles @ 4 mph. I have NEVER been able to jog for that long. My goal is to jog @ 5mph by the mini marathon date in late April.

  • Wow! I can't wait till I can get to 4. You should be very proud of yourself, that is quite an accomplishment. Right now I can only do 1 mile straight. You said you are on a training plan for a mini marathon. What is a mini marathon, if never heard of that?

GOOD JOB!! I needed to hread this for encouragement since I am actually in the beginning stages for training for a Mini marathon.
Where did you get your training schedule? I just started last week, and I can only run about 5 MPH for 15 minutes. Im more worried about how long i can run right now. Next I will work on the distance.
    great Job tho!:drinker: :drinker:

Here's the schedule I am following. There are 3 (novice(me), intermediate and advanced). Choose the one that suits you.

That's what I thought but I have never heard that term before. I'm training for a half myself. Thanks for the education and good luck to you.
