VitaMix vs. Ninja Blender

My mother has generously offered to buy me something nice for Christmas. I have a little Hamilton Beach single serve blender that I use for my protein smoothies. But I think I would love something to make nut butters, hummus, soups, whatever yummy else to help me in my quest for a healthier life.

Any experience with either of these blenders? Or any other suggestions?

I've had a vitamix for several years and it's pretty good, but the problem with it is that the only opening is at the top. Nut butters and stuff like that get stuck around the blades at the bottom and its really hard to get them out. The bottom is narrow and there's very little room between the blades and the sides of the container, so using a spoon or spatula to get stuff out is pretty awkward. Despite their claims, it's not really a great food processor. Excellent blender though.

I like my ninja blender set - they are great for everything from pesto to smoothies to batter for pancakes. The blades and containers and tops are dishwasher safe so really easy to keep clean.

Vitamix, It can ground meat, mix dough also. It can go 365 miles/power if you want to compare speed.
I have one for 20 yrs, only replace replace worn out parts.
I don't know much out ninja tho.

I have a Ninja 1000 watt blender and it mixes everything... it pulverizes ice, fruit… everything I have put into it, it also has plenty of room inside the container. The only complaint I have is that it will not fit under my kitchen cabinets and I had to put it on the sideboard… lol I love the thing. Oh fyi the blades are razor sharp.
