BOGO Whoppers this weekend

Whoppers are REAL burgers. Are they the best? In my opinion, no. They do, however, meet the definition of a burger -- at least on my planet.

definition of a burger and taste are two different things. They are dog food in my opinion. They never look like they do on the commercial. Dry, half the time the cheese isn't even melted. I just prefer make my own or go somewhere decent. I guess you get what you pay for. What's up with Wendy's French Fries? They are all brown and gross. Where did the golden goodness go?

KC they are the only burger that makes my guts hurt all day. I can like taste them for hours. What is up with that? I am seriously having reflux from just talking about it. haha. Must be that smokeless stuff someone mentioned. The flavoring? Scary to think about. i think i want to learn how to make my own veggie burger.

I used to work at burger king (a million years ago) and we used to drop the patties on the floor and serve them all the time...

I NEVER eat that crap... EVER...

As for the ad, I do enjoy the occasional Whopper. I'll keep that in mind this weekend, unless I end up at Five Guys first...

Yep, liquid smoke flavoring. I love burgers, but Whoppers and White Castle make me feel all barfy and gross.

I'll take a Red Robin Banzai burger over two Whoppers or a whole sack of Sliders any day. (Although with Sliders you don't actually absorb any calories - they move through you too fast. )

I had friends back in HS that worked at Mcdonalds... they used to pee in the pickle bucket.

I've heard this from so many different people. And its always thier friends. Its gotta be BS.

There cant be that much peeing going on

it was 20 years ago...... we actually used the dropped burgers so they wouldn't go in the waste and wouldn't get fired... it wasn't because of cruelty...

but eh... think what you want...

I just don't like being tempted by nasty food... and I dint want others to be tempted either...

In this case I'm pretty sure it was true. They were also the ones that peed into shampoo bottles at other peoples houses at parties and in their ice cube trays.

Ha! I'm immune! The first Whopper I ever had (about 15 years ago) made me sick as a dog. It was pretty rough. I've had a couple since, but I've always been left with that initial impression of them.

On the other hand, the Burger King nearest to me has a funny sign with recommended soda and burger pairings. "With its earthy and nuanced yet biting flavors, Coke Classic goes well with the contrasting heat and cold of a Double Whopper..." I'm glad they don't take themselves too seriously.

Whether it was cruelty or not it was a messed up thing to do. There is no argument anyone can give me where I'll accept that serving expired food, food dropped on the floor or food with bodily functions in it is ok. If you want to eat food off that floor at your home it's one thing, but don't do that to a stranfer's (and yes I saw that it was all done years ago).

And I'd eat a whopper right now if you gave it to me. All of the meat we get at the commissary here is brought over on the barge and always looks brown, and expired. I figure if i just cook it good enough and season it a lot it should be ok.

EWWWWWW!! A lady I worked with said she ordered fries one time and she pulled one out, and with it came a crusty fried moth!! But no I will not be partaking in this event this weekend

I worked for McDonald's for years as a manager, both for Corporate and Franchise. I promise you if any employee was ever found doing this (or dropping food on the floor and serving it) they would immediately be terminated and there would be charges filed against them. It is a felony in the US to knowingly tamper with food that is being served to the public.

I worked fast food , McDonalds and Wendy's for a combined total of 9 years. I can honestly say that on the shifts I worked we never dropped food on the floor and then served it. Hearing of and reading about people who did or do this always pisses me off. Many of us have been on either side of the coin when it comes to food service-working in an establishment and eating at them. It's just a d-i-c-k move to pull-to treat someone else's food like that, no matter how much they've pissed you off. Be a human being for christ's sake. Rant over.

If there was BK even remotely close I'd be all over it.
