Sugar and Protein

Hi All,
This is my first post. I think I have been eating pretty healthy and staying under or close to my calorie goals, however, when I see my sugar and protein totals both are way over what MFP tells me I'm supposed to have for the day. Most of my sugar comes from fruit, yogurt etc. so I'm trying not to worry too much but I feel like that may hinder my weight loss goals. I recently switched to sugar free coffee cream and I feel like that will help but really Canteloupe has 28 grams of sugar?

See the protein amount as a bare minimum to reach, not a maximum to avoid exceeding.

If you do not have any insulin related medical conditions such as diabetes or insulin resistance, I wouldn't worry too much about your sugar intake.

I would also love to paste one of my meme's here but I need to make one for sugar still. =)

No diabetes or anything, great blood pressure and cholesterol too, just overweight. I'm more concerned about it affecting my weight loss. When I think sugar I think candy and sugary cereal, I don't think of milk and vegetables and fruit.

In either case, provided your response to insulin is normal, you really don't need to be too concerned with it. Energy balance will take care of your weight loss. (Stay in a calorie deficit).

If you'd like research to support this, I recommend James Krieger's article which you can find here:
