This is what I had for dinner!

I decided to find a recipe for turkey chili and fix it up with some homemade french bread straight out of my breadmaker. YUM! It was VERY easy to make and inexpensive, too. Here is the recipe if you're interested in a healthy, filling version of chili.
GROUND TURKEY CHILI
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. yellow onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, fresh, minced
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 lb. Louise Rich ground turkey
3 tbsp. yellow mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. cumin
2 (14 oz.) cans tomatoes with juice
2 (14 oz.) cans kidney beans with juice
Place oil in a large heavy pan. When hot, saute the onions, garlic and green peppers until tender. Add the ground turkey and stir, when slightly cooked add mustard, salt, cayenne, chili powder and cumin. Mix well and add the tomatoes. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add the beans with their liquid and cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
BTW, I doubled the recipe since I have 7 people to cook for and I'll probably be eating this for lunch tomorrow, too.
Also, I did not pay any attention to the brand of turkey. I had Jennie-O 93/7 turkey in my freezer, so I used that. I don't think the brand makes that big of a difference, if any at all.

I wonder if you can pass on using that oil. 2 tablespoons is aprox. 280 calories. Other than that, for me, looks like a great recipe!0

Sounds very good. I make a close version this time a year with the venison my husband Hunts in the season.
