Torn book page

Does anyone know how to repair a torn textbook page? My cat ripped a page while I was studying. Normally I wouldn't care, but this is a rented science textbook. I have to return it soon and in no way can afford to replace it. I read placing wax paper under the tear and painting glue on it. Has anyone tried this and does it work? Please help me, I'm so worried!

Hi there,
Ex-librarian chiming in - it depends a bit on how it's ripped. If there's an overlap, you can glue it with a tiny bit of paper glue.
If not, you could use invisible tape (it's like sellotape, but opaque) - if the tear goes to the edge of the page then bend the tape over so it covers both sides.
Good luck!0 -

I always just taped it when I tore the pages, they always just flip through the book for major damage and never pay attention to little things at my college.0

Thank you Eleanor! I'll have to try that.
ElExGordo, I'm aware of how to use Google. Thanks.
Snookumss, thank you as well. I've rented books before but always kept them in good condition. Hopefully this company is as lenient!0 -
