Undereating

Hello,
I am undereating. Since starting a great yet very stressful job I am still finding time to go to the gym but I am not eating nearly as much as I should be. I almost feel as though I don't need food but I think this is just because I work with people who are extremely focused, absorbed and even obsessed with their work. I have lost weight and feel hideous because I know my lack of energy and low mood is due to lack of food.
This time last year I was playing hockey and mainatinaing plenty of muscle and getting back to that seems unobtainable.
I feel very disheartened and rather hopeless about gaining the weight.
I would really like to hear from anyone who has been in a similar position or even tips on how to slowly increase my food intake so that I don't take my usual route which is too much too soon.
Thanks.

I have been doing the same thing in away. I was eating under on purpose because I felt guilty for eating close to the amount I was supposed to get. This week I have been trying to do better. I sort of plan what times to eat and what I will eat at those times. I literally plan ahead. I know sometimes I don't feel like my snack, which is like an apple or something like that, but I know when I go to workout after work, I will feel sluggish and lightheaded. So I make myself eat. I don't know if that helps, but I hope it does.
Good luck!0 -
Thanks Zbmb, that does help just to know someone out there is going through a similar thing!0

Get a really good 100% Whey Protein powder and use a couple scoops a day in a smoothie or shake (I recommend Optimum Nutrition but there are other good ones out there...search the forums). Make one for breakfast with a banana and 2 scoops & one for evening. Make sure the calories you are taking in are at least good ones. That should do it!0
