My parents are 68 (mom) and 70 (dad) and retired. My mom lifts weights, does cardio and rides her bike everywhere. My dad lifts weights, does HIIT training, plays competitive basketball and tennis in several 'senior leagues'. They were both competitive athletes in college and have remained active throughout their adult lives. They love to hike in the White Mountains. Last summer they even biked through the Canadian Rockies together - 40-60 miles a day on mountainous terrain.

They are both fantastic role models!

For me, gaining weight was never due to a lack of physical activity/exercise. I just ate too darn much!

You know what I think of my parents? I think my Mom and Dad mean so much to me that I won't air their personality flaws on a random fitness forum.
