Hi everyone,

I dont have a sweet tooth, but everytime I try to loose weight, change my lifestyle, I have cravings for sweets, chocolate, cookies. If its sweet, you name it. I will have a craving for it. Is there any reason my body does this? Or is it my mind trying to sabotage me?

PS: I usually have 3servings of fruits a day.

Thank you!

It's more than likely contributed to your method of thinking, i.e. "diet" and "bad foods". Don't cut everything off.. You want to eat as many healthy foods as possibly, but allow yourself some calories for something sweet if you want it. It's a lifestyle, not a diet. If you look at it as a diet and try to restrict too many things, it won't work.

Have some hot chocolate (120 calories) or a vitatop, my favourite kind is the deep chocolate and it's only 100 calories. Have a piece of dark chocolate, etc! Find some recipes of healthier versions of cookies if you want them. This way you can control what you're eating but satisfy your craving.

When I crave chocolate, I eat some :)

1 serving (or even less sometimes) of dark chocolate will satisfy me for the moment. Then 'convincing' myself that I've had a tasty treat usually works out pretty well, and I don't eat any more.
