Is this appropriate to wear?

I'll be going to the symphony this Saturday. Being the uncultured thing that I am, I have no idea what is and isn't OK to wear. Its a Saturday night, but not opening night... This is the only dress I have:

It goes to right above my knee. I thought it might be ok, but the spaghetti straps make me wonder.
Please give me your opinion because I'm totally lost and if this one doesn't work ineed to hurry up and find a different one

Throw on a cardigan and you're golden.0

It's a beautiful dress! I'd wear it with a short blazer or jacket (black). I'd just take it off if I see other spaghetti strap dresses at the event.0

Yup, or a shrug or a wrap.0

I'd say so0

I would definitely wear something over it.0

Yup - A cardigan or wrap over the shoulders would be appropriate.0

Thanks a lot. Does anyone have any links to or pictures of examples of what I would wear over it?0

It depends upon where you're sitting. If you're up in peanut heaven (where I'm ususally sitting), looks fine. If you're down in the orchestra pit, or in a box, then I'd go for something more formal and dressy. Either way, I'd cover your shoulders and opt for shoes that don't click or squeak.
Do you know what's on the program?? Have fun!0 -

I don't know what city you are in, but in NYC, when I go to Lincoln Center, people are only really dressed up at night(if at all).
This looks fine.

I'm guessing you live in a metropolitan area and can get to mall rather quick. Old navy has cute cardigans and so does AE and Forever 21.0
