I keep reading different things about whether or not you're suppsoed to do the workouts every day or every other day. Which is the correct one? I thought you were only supposed to take a day off if you really need it but otherwise you were just supposed to do it every day. If you've completed it, what did you do??

The 30 DS is meant to be done daily. For 30 Days.

30 days straight - NO BREAKS - Modify if needed - but NO BREAKS - NO OFF DAYS!!

    1st 10 days - Level 1
    Next 10 days - Level 2
    Last 10 days - Level 3

    :drinker: GOOD LUCK!

I'm pretty sure you can alternate with cardio days and still get good results! I did it for 30 days and in the end, I could have sporked my eyes out because I was so bored with the work-out. I'd suggest rotating different DVDs if you've got the same attention span as me!

It's exercise just like any other exercise out there. Do it as often as you are able, take a break for recovery when you need to. Someone who is very fit or has gotten used to the exercises might like to do it every day. Someone who is extremely unfit and is in serious pain the next day might benefit from a break before doing it again. Listen to your body and do what you are able to do. It's meant to give results in 30 sessions, not necessarily 30 days straight if you're not able to do it 30 days straight at your current fitness level.

I took 3 days off after DAY ONE, that's how bad I hurt. Then there was one or two times that I have taken breaks for 2-3 days due to traveling. It took me about 3 weeks to get to day 15, and guess what I have still seen amazing results. I think I may have already posted my halfway results on another thread that you posted OP, I'm only halfway through the 30 sessions and I've lost 1" off my thighs, 1" off my butt/hips, 2" off my belly at the navel, and more. Taking a break when you NEED to take a break for a day or two is NOT going to destroy your progress. Some people physically MUST take breaks for recovery to keep from injuring themselves. If you CAN do it every single day, that is awesome! But if you NEED to take a break, don't feel like a failure or like your previous work was for nothing. It's just an exercise routine. Not a magic formula. ;-)

Also, it is recommended that you do 10 days at each level, but realistically some people choose to do one or more of the levels for more than 10 days if they need that time to get it right. Level 1 is not suddenly useless starting on day 11. If you're still having trouble with it, stay with that level for a few more days so you can improve before moving on to the more difficult levels. Or if you find it's way too easy and boring you to tears, either pick up heavier weights or try doing Level 2 before the 10 days are up. Tailor the workout to your fitness level and needs.

My question about 30DS...how do we record this in the excerise?

I've been told to add it in under cardiovascular as circuit training, general. So that is what I'm doing.

Thanks everyone else for your help. :)

I think if it was that rigid Jillian would say so in her intro. She didn't!

I finished day 4 of this today. I haven't needed a break from it yet. If you're not use to moving like this, you will be sore. Today is the first day I woke up with out any pain. Yesterday was pretty bad. So just listen to your body.

I'm on day 5 today and I swear if I had stopped after 2 to "rest" I probably wouldn't have started again. I'm not sore at all now!
