I read on one of the posts that we should consume the extra calories we get from our exercise. Can someone tell me why? I'm always glad when I'm under goal for calories.

the calories that mfp has calculated for you to eat already include enough of a deficit for you to lose weight. when you workout you are able to then eat those calories back and still maintain that original deficit that mfp calculated for you. it can actually slow down your weight loss to have too few calories. some people eat them back and some people don't. i personally eat about half of mine back as i was finding that my weight loss had stopped. once i started eating a little more i started losing again.0

So if I only eat 1100 calories a day and don't exercise, then I should still lose weight? And no I'm not starving myself, just not hungry0
