So I am fighting a cold and still working out. I am giving 100% even while sick, so it should count double right. Or am I just treading water because my 100% while sick feels and on paper even looks like say 60% of my normal workout. I am just to focused on this new life that nothing is going to stop me now. I have a great wife who has lost 40 lbs using MFP and her great friends here. I hope this cold leaves as fast as it showed up. Maybe an early night to bed. But we are doing this thing people so keep going keep climbing keep running keep lifting kick the SH#@ out of this old fat cells and make them cry sweat. Hang tight hang tough, just friggin do it, just earn it, because you deserve it!!!!! By the way about 2 months ago I was stage 2 hypertension and now am leaving the pre hypertension to almost normal blood presure sweet.. ReBoot people!

Ah. A fellow Flu Friend here.
My fitness trainer is very strict with me when it comes to working out while sick. Your immunity is compromised so your body can't recover the same way and could even make you sicker in the long run. It's frustrating when I've had to hold out for 2 weeks in the past. She won't touch me even if I have a latent cough because it means I can't get proper oxygen. So stay on track with food while ill but I would be weary about workouts until your body has fought off what ever you had.

imo.....I would get a new trainer....unless you have a serious illness....not a cold...you can still work out and it may help you recover quicker0 -
could be that having sick people in the gym leads to a lot more sick people and sick trainers. i know if i walked into a gym and people were coughing everywhere, i would probably leave. seems like a prudent policy to not have contagious people working out in a confined public space.
hope that all of you who are under the weather are feeling better soon.0
