That depends on what results you are looking for...
If your goal is for it to be smaller you must do some type of cardio to burn fat. If your goal is to firm and tone you need at the very least to do crunches.
My goal for my stomach is to lose the fat and also firm and tone. I've been doing crunches almost daily for 4 months along with using an elliptical machine for cardio. I recently started using both the Power 90 workout videos (both cardio and circuit, alternating) and Billy Blanks Tae Bo video workout videos. I get them from my local library. There are a lot of moves that actually work the abs while you are standing and it's fun too! Some of Billy's workouts are too fast/tough for me, but there are some slower ones for beginners.
    Good luck to you! :)

i walk everyday...on the treadmill and outside and with Leslie Sansone videos, I had a C section and my belly fat (and all the other fat on my body) is slowly going away...now that I am getting closer to my goal weight I am doing 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels hoping to tone all over.

I do Turbo Jam. It's an older workout by Chalene Johnson and consists of 5 different workouts. They are aimed towards any age group and any type of physical condition as she has people in the video to modify the moves. What I like about it is that its "standing ab work" No need to get down on the floor. It's great! I was doing it before I got pregnant with my son and lost 32lbs in 6 months! I was doing it every day though. One of the workouts is designed specifically for abs. Then there is a toning workout, a 45 minute cardio workout and a 20 minute cardio workout so you get a huge variety. Look it up on Amazon or Ebay. Like I said, its an older workout DVD so its probably cheap!
