LOL, my sister-in-law has a GIANT sheppard. He is a coward and a little crazy. He loves to pick up 2 lb rocks and carry them around in his mouth and now has tiny little white marbles for teeth. I don't think he could break the skin if he tried. He weighs about 130 lbs and stands eye to eye with me when I grab his front paws (I'm 6' 2") it's pretty crazy. But my little 28 lb Corgi bosses him around and growls at him when he eyes one of his toys. It's so funny. Sheppards (along with most working dogs) are one of the most beautiful, smartest, and hardest working breads around. It's a shame about their genetic hip displasia (they share that with corgi's) because their majestic gait always turns into a slow limp when they turn 11 or 12.0

I've got my eye on an English Mastiff when I get a house though. They get bigger than shepherds and are just big lap dogs. Soooo sweet! :smooched: My sister has two mastiffs and two shepherds.

Good Mornin everyone. Im a week on my weight loss journey and i only lost 1lb. But im ok with it. Just means i work harder next week. This week I set goals for my self and wrote 3 motivations down for my self. Im going to put them on a 3 by 5 card and put it up on the fridge. I really like this sight!!!:happy: Ok everyone 1 more day till the weekend and have a great weekend!!!:laugh:0

My Rottie is the bestest dog ever!
It's a shame irresponsible owners give them such a bad rep. He is the biggest baby EVER! LOL....He got attacked by a Golden Retriever :noway: I thought they were the family dogs :ohwell:
He's spoiled rotten.......here he is laying on daddy's pillow next to me when my fiance worked nights Debo would snuggle with me til I fell asleep then get up and go in the guest bedroom and sleep on that bed. He has his own bedroom :laugh: He's a little spoiled :bigsmile: It has a good view of the road so he can watch everything that goes on outside and we leave the blinds cracked for him so he can see outside. :laugh:

i had a shepard with my ex. he was an old guy and his entire lower back was fused with arthritis - poor pup! the vet said i could give him one asprin a day.
it took me the longest time to figure out how to give it to him. he had a huge mouth. i would hide it in cheese and somehow he would spit out the asprin. hot dogs - same thing. anything really, until...
peanut butter! i put a little on a saltine broken in 2, stuck the asprin in it, and made a little PB and cracker sandwich for him. worked every time and was kind of funny to watch.
he would sleep so well when the asprin kicked in. no more sighs of pain. poor thing. he was my ex's dog. he passed away in 03, 2 years after the last time i saw him. RIP Cody!
