lean meat - chicken, steak with no fat, fish. Eggs. beans/lentils if you are vegie, or tofu.
nuts in moderation.
avoid processed food, sugars , junk.
eat lots of green vegies and brown rice.0 -
The best protein is like the best cardio - the one you eat and enjoy.
I tried canned tuna, and it was so loathsome that I just could not choke down another can without barfing.
But some claim it's the best.
Anyway, I settled on broiled fish - talapia - and baked skinless chicken, because it's cheap and available. Also, I use protein bars - love them! I like the Special K - very affordable. Sure, some might say this and that is better, but not if I don't use it. I won't make shakes, tuna is gross and salmon is too expensive.
And a few times a week, I eat a ribeye - LOVE IT!
Because I am working to lose body fat and weight, I eat high protein - about 180 gm's a day. It's working like a charm - over 60 lbs lost and body fat down to 19% from 33%.

Thanks Guys! The reason Im asking is that I find it easy to build muscle but very hard to reduce belly flab, since I've started using MFP i've made some progress but i don't want to compromise on my energy levels for my workout.0
