Running is making me bigger?

Hi, i started running a couple of months ago. not too much, just 3 days a week, 3 miles everyday. I was 137--138 pounds before i stared to run. i am now at 142..i know theres some new muscle weight in that.. but what i want to know is if i'm putting on fat? i noticed i'm a bit hungrier than before and tend to take food for granted since i will run it off.

Any tips on how much to eat if i'm running, since the whole reason i started running for is to lose weight..
