While I'm on my 15 or just have general downtime at work, sometimes I'll google #fitness or #health for tumblr.

I've been coming across posts and images that are on one hand inspiring, and on the other a little discouraging.

These images are before and afters of women who have attributed their weightloss and fitness to their new -healthy- diet and exercise programs.

Now, at first glance they're super inspiring because they look AMAZING in their after photos, and most of them have lost between 90-150 lbs.

The reason they're discouraging is that ALL of them have lost this incredible amount of weight ... in 30-90 days.

250lbs down to 124lbs in 90 days this one woman claimed ... is that even possible? What do these people DO for a living? Do you live on the Biggest Loser Ranch? Do they get paid to go to the gym? I guess it's possible if you have no job or school really to worry about and can just spend your entire day exercising and focusing on eating right ... but seriously. ._.;; I guess it's discouraging because I -don't- have that kind of time. It would be wonderful if I could lose even the meager 20lbs I want to lose in 90 days, but with my schedule it's probably going to take more like 6-12 months. It's fine by me ... but I guess my question is: Is it even possible for someone to lose that amount of weight in 90 days just on a healthier diet and exercise? And really ... how much time exercising would they have to spend every day?

Just a rant. >_> :bigsmile:

    That is not possible, just do the math.

    125 Lbs lost in 90 days would be 1.38 Lbs per day. So that would be a calorie deficit of 4861 per day.
    It is just not possible, even with surgical options it is not possible.

    Don't believe this stuff, I bet she wants to sell you her magic 90 day pills.

    Lol, win!

    I don't know. I mean, I'm not going to try to follow in her footsteps or anything, but when I see things like that my eyes pop out of my head and I get envious of their lives because they obviously have no bills or anything to worry about since all they do is run on the treadmill all day.

    It's all from their personal weightloss blogs, and none of them mention pills or try to sell anything. I also don't buy into the fact that they lost that much weight in so little time with eating -healthy-. Seems more like they starve themselves. ._.;;

    Commericalism and reality are two different things. You will find much better realistic results here. But no less amazing.
