I can't stomach the Whey in most protein powders (dairy allergy). The Brown Rice and the Soy powders also taste quite nasty, so I'm not very likely to take them regularly.

I've been toying with the idea of Egg Protein. Has anyone used it? If you have, what are your favorite brands and flavors? I saw this one, and seemed to be the best rating for the money. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/egg.html

Your thoughts?

Egg protein tastes worse than whey.

    What brands have you tried?

I can't have the milk product in Whey Protein Powder. I've only tried Soy shakes and Brown Rice shakes.

I'll have to look into that. I thought Whey always had casein and lactose in it.

There are very low lactose whey powders, but I doubt you'll avoid casein.

Whites of 6 large eggs is about the same as a typical protein shake. Add some low fat mayonaise to it and it's not too bad.

I have Optimum Nutrition Double Choc and it's quite nice. I usually add some equals to it to make it even sweeter.

Obviously if you're lactose intolerant you might not be able to drink it but they might actually remove the lactose from it ...
