How important is it that your partner is supportive of your goals?
I’m a single woman and I haven’t really dated much since starting my weight loss journey 16 months ago. I’d like to date but something that’s important to me is finding someone who supports my goals. He needs to not tempt me with unhealthy food and needs understand that my evenings are pretty much dedicated to the gym (I work out at a facility that’s only open in the evenings). I understand relationships are about compromise so I am willing to do some at-home workouts in the morning so that I can free my evening for QT but I’d like him to understand that’s not going to always be the case. When I get into relationships I tend to get comfortable, lose focus, eat whatever, not exercise and then gain weight (from what I’ve heard this is typical) so I’m trying to avoid that. I’m also usually attracted to stocky/chubby guys, which sometimes means they aren’t really focused on healthy habits. Maybe I need to start thinking outside of the box. I’ve come way too far and still have far to go to throw it out the window but I also don’t want to be alone forever.

Its very important to me. My husband runs and workouts with me faithfully. I feel like if you have a partner that has the same interest you can do more things together, including working out with you etc.0

You will find someone who shares in your healthy habits or at least supports them. This is so important my husband is so supportive. We only go out to places that i know i can get something with ok calories he doesnt workout but he does go on walks with me. Just dont settle, .......0

Its very important to me that they support me but I also wont date someone who doesnt like my body how it is. I did that before and them putting me down about my looks made me gain more weight. My boyfriend now is very supportive of my weight loss even though he doesnt think that I need to lose anything and he is also trying to lose weight. He is actually overweight but lucky for me he usually eats pretty healthy.0

I think that it is very important that this person is supportive of your goals because otherwise this person may not understand why things are important to you that are.0
