Depending on the hormones in the pill you can somtimes gain weight. I have never personally lost weight while on the pill. Only gained or stayed the same.0

when I got on Depo, my doc told me that the average person gains 5-10 pounds on it. I wasnt going to let that happen, so I was really careful about what I ate and kept up with my exercise. I lost about 15 pounds!0

the only pill that has been correlated with weight gain is the depo. other than that, the pill is not correlated with weight gain and you should be able to lose weight on it. i'm sure there are plenty of people on mfp who are on the pill and are losing weight just fine.0

I just had to switch back to my old ones(Marvelon) as the new ones i was taking(Seasonale) were makiing me gain weight and i was getting realy depressed and a "total *kitten*" according to my husband"
I stopped the Seasonale on January 19/09 and then restarted my old ones on January 25/09 and am now losing weight no problem and not depressed or bi*****y.
I also lost 3 lbs from when i stopped the Seasonale to when i started the Marvelon again

I have been on depo and not experienced any weight gain now or two years ago when I started it. Also not experiencing any problems losing weight by watching what I eat and exercising.0 -
I've been on the pill now for 23 yrs. I never had a problem with weight gain because of it. (My weight problem is due to no Thyroid & synthetic hormones. I am Hypo (like Hippo), not Hyper...) Ask your OB there are pills out their known for weight gain... and some that studies show no weight gain. Good Luck!:flowerforyou:0
