Well, howdy, all. I was diagnosed with diabetes last year and managed to lose 80 lbs. But I've fallen off the wagon (rather I've been trying to maintain the weight loss), and it's time to start losing again -- for my health's sake. I'm only just setting up my profile now, and I'll be starting Monday. I'm so intimidated by learning how to cook in an entirely new fashion. (I was a lazy butt and used Lean Cuisine to take off the pounds before.) But now my boyfriend is joining me, so that means finding and cooking cheap and healthy meals. I have a feeling I'll be lurking around the boards looking for recipes. I'm also very thankful to my friend for agreeing to start this whole process with me and to keep me honest. I hope that trying to blog and be part of this community will help keep me motivated as well. I've already seen some inspirational stories here. One day I hope to be one!
Oh, and feel free to friend me! :}
