I dont have a heart monitor at the minute so i was wondering if someone had a rough guess as to how many calories are burnt doing a few thing that are not in the database.

1. Ironing for 1 hour

2. Changing the sheets on a bed

3. Walking up stairs in the house ( I have 13 steps)

4. Hoovering for 20 minutes

I am 5 foot 6 and weight 164 lbs

Thanks

may find that searching for cleaning will get the rates you want.

You need not bother counting that stuff.
That's a part of your general daily activity level - not a cardio workout.

If you want to reach your goals, do real cardio AND resistance exercise or forget it.

I hate to be a buzz kill, but typically you shouldn't count things that you do normally (like going up the stairs in your house) because your body is used to them, and it's essentially part of your typical daily maintenance. I would avoid counting any of those things, but instead try to do something out of the ordinary to count the calories on. Just my opinion, though.

Most of that I can't guess at. However, we could calculate the going-up-the-stairs. Going up, you gain about 10 feet in height; with your weight being 164 lb, you do 1640 ft-lb of mechanical work going up, and the same going down (counterintuitive, but true). So a round trip, up and down, is 3280 ft-lb, which is also 1062 calories. A nutritional calorie, though is 1000 calories, so it's only 1.06 nutritional calories. But wait ... you do this with your legs, which are about 20% efficient, so the food input required to finance a round trip of the stairs is about 5.5 calories.

The good news is: you probably do this many times per day.

The only time I counted something like cooking/cleaning... is when I was moving, and cleaned for like 12 hours + moving boxes and heavy lifting.

And I added in some cooking hours when I did a day long cooking extravaganza with friends (rolled out dough for perogies for 5 full hours).

Other than that, i would never count daily activities -- as they are included in your daily living calories needed.
