I just posted a reply for the "saddest song ever" thinking of them brought me down. i need a little pepping up now. help me think of the happiest songs ever. not necessarily inspirational, but if thats your thing...whatever, but peppy, upbeat, something you just can't help smiling while you sing or dancing while you work

here what i think

1 Ordinary Day - Great Big Sea
2 Great song of Indifference - Sir Bob Geldof
3 almost anything by the Dust Rhinos (local Winnipeg Celtic rock Band. if you have never heard of them check out their web site, always a party)
4 karn evil #9 -Emerson Lake and Palmer

    Come on Eileen always makes me think of my younger days when I was out one night at a club and asked to dance by this monster of a man (bulging muscles, etc is what I mean by monster) probably 6'6" tall, that was the song that was playing and we got into the middle of the dance floor and he literally started aerobicizing and flailing around in the middle of the many MANY people out there dancing... it still makes me laugh when I hear it! :)

    YES! The Muppets... classic!

    I agree with a lot of these, especially the ABBA stuff, but I just love me some Bobby McFerrin, Don't Worry Be Happy!!!

    And anything by They Might Be Giants, especially when sung by my 10 year-old nephew... that kid cracks me up!

    My all time favorite "happy place" song... Paradise By the Dashboard Lights, by Meatloaf... I've had more fun with that song than any other in the world!!! Seriously...
