Instead of just blindly replying.
When people complete their food diary, and it shows 'under', check that diary (if viewable) before saying AWESOME JOB. Half the time they've only consumed 12 calories for the day.

Totally agree! I don't comment as a rule unless I can view the diary! And I have dropped some people who are clearly anorexic! I don't mind people who from time to time drop below their calorie target - I do it myself from time to time. I just look at the balance overall! What gets me are people who are "I hate being fat, it's not working!" etc and they continue to make unhealthy choices.0

yep!!! i never comment unless i check!0

No point in uploading a comment unless you have had a look in the diary - otherwise your comment is without substance and creates inane commentary which to the diary owner just comes across as patronising.0

Totally agree, there were days when I was eating around 600-700 because of being sick and people would still say WTG, lol0

I agree. I always check before commenting. Well, if it's open..0

I do always net over 1400, though. I delete the girls who net under 800 every single day.0 -

But if everyone who tries to not go really low deletes everyone who goes really low on a consistent basis, then those really low people won't have an example of NOT really low diets anymore, they will just have each other all going really low every day and thinking that's the only way to do it.....
I can't bring myself to delete people unless they are not being supportive of me..... I just can't..... :-(0 -

Thank you :P0 -
Usually I do. ONE time I don't.. would be today. I just said "nice job" on someone's diary, because I liked the comment she made on her own diary.
Then, I viewed her diary and it was very weak and scary, so I immediately deleted my comment. Now, I will always view before looking. I've never ran into that problem before...0 -

Change is really hard for some people. Maybe just the act of logging it will help them learn how those things add up. It did wonders for me when I first started adding up what my 'normal' days looked like. They looked ridiculous, but I didn't know that until I started keeping track. Old habits die hard but you've got to start somewhere.0
