SAHM going back to work??

I have been a SAHM for the last 7 years. I really need to bite the bullet and go back to work next year, really need to work on building our retirement, savings and need better health benefits (we pay for our own now...they stink and are really expensive).

So I am curious if anyone has any idea's or input. I do not have a college degree but worked for a large insurance company for many years before staying home. I really would love to find something where I could go in early and be done when the kids are home from school. Any idea's

Anyone ever went back to work after being out of the work force? Any advice?
