Feeling pain or exhaustion after working out

So question: Is it just me or do you feel like your workout is inadequate if you don't feel tired or push yourself until you feel the "burn" or feel sore?
For example: I can go 30 minutes on the elliptical no problem and I don't feel anything, but then the guilt trip starts because I don't feel like I did enough.
When do you all feel like you did enough? Man, did I use the word "feel" a lot or what.

I don't feel guilty if I don't hurt after a workout, because I use an HRM and I know my body is working. I do find the burn satisfying though0
