Ok so ive been on MFP on and off since the start of the year but it is only now that ive decided that i need to make a 'life style change' I have been on diets in the past that just focus on calories or fat or low cab... and ive alway lost anywhere between a few pounds to once 14pounds..... only to put it all back on. Last year i starting running and lost weight and got close to my 'dream weight' but through the winter stopped running and yes you guessed it gained the weight back.
I have now joined a gym and have been making healthly food choices and having a calorie defect and logging EVERYTHING. I have lost some weight but something like 500gs a week if that,
I was eating back my calories form exercise, but was losing nothing, I was eating 1300 a day but ive just changed it to 1200, and now im starting to question natural sugars and sodium ? I am 5'4 and im at 151pounds and i am a pear shape... and i find it all sits on my *kitten* !
i want to start seeing some changes on the scales or the tape measure, will changing my sodium and natural sugar intake help and if so what is a good target to aim for ? so for example today i have had a healthy blueberry smoothie for breakie, a healthy mustard prawn salad for lunch and a large pear/apple for a afternoon snack..... my sugar count is at 48 most of that coming for the fruit (over by 24) and my sodium is 854 (it is under by 1646) What is a good level for sodium ?? i have no idea and what about the sugar ??
Any help welcome :o) I've been sitting at 151 for 3 weeks :o(
