I have decided to serve Carmel Flan for Christmas. There will be 9 people at my home but I only have enough flan for 8. It's ok, not eveyrone going to eat it anyway, right?
Now here's the story,, I never made flan before. I won't go out and buy 8 desert bowls. Each flan is about 1/2 cup. Do you think it woud be ok if I use those throw-away foil cupcake pan, cut it up into sections work?
If not -- any idea what I can use that isn't costly? Keep in mind that I can't afford much.

My mother-in-law makes it in a big bowl and then pours Cognac on it after she serves it in small bowls...I googled it and it came up with using a bundt pan for it...try it first and see how it comes out and let me know..0
