NSV - Resisting Temptation

Well, I may not have lost a lot of weight (yet!) but I had a big NSV last night, well, maybe 2.
I attend ice hockey games with 2 of my friends, and after the game last night we went out for a meal with 2 other friends. Now, anyone who's ever set foot in a TGI Friday's knows there's some seriously tempting foods there. I have a love of Jack Daniels glaze that ha probably hindered the weight loss somewhat...
Anyway, I ignored the ribs, steaks, shrimp and other lovely looking things and had a salad to start, and a different salad as my main course. I've not checked the nutritional info yet, but it felt better for me
I've been trying to cut down on carbs so it was a victory that I didn't decide to have a night off!
And, I've got some potential gym buddies. My 2 friends have just joined a local gym. I've been going to the one attached to my university and I've tried another before. The university gym isn't great and the price per session keeps going up. My friends were trying to convince me to join their gym and said I could go with them if I wanted
I've had a look at the facilities and class timetable and will be saving the pay from my Christmas job to pay for a year's membership. I can't start til January though as I need an induction and am currently working night shifts
But I will start, and I'm proud that I was able to tell my friend just how much I need to lose when she asked me
