Hey guys, I used to be a bike rider, i'd bike for an hour per gym visit but rarely if ever did anything but that; however, as I was close to my goal (I was at 127.5lbs, goal was 125) I wanted to add some definition and do something new because I was getting bored. So anyhow, I started running and lifting weights (low weight high reps) a month ago but this past week my weight has jumped to 130 (first time since August of last year) and I have consistently gone over on cals (unusual for me), not all junk food or anything but the point is that i'm finding myself ALWAYS hungry. Have I gained muscle and this is causing me to burn more cals a day and therefore eat more? I've noticed more definition this last week and all measurements were the same with the exception of my waist which was up 1/2" (TOM).

I'm running a couple of miles three times a week and doing about 25 minutes of weights on each of these days as well. I'm set at 1300 cals daily plus exercise cals burned which puts me losing 1/2lb a week but i'm finding myself going over consistently for the past week, is this anything to do with muscle or is it just me rationalizing "over eating"?
