I think you have to do what you feel is best for you.
Its all about trial and error; if your hungry and eating breakfast stops you picking/ snacking throughout the morning then great! If your not hungry then don't force breakfast. I personally have a yoghurt and a banana for breakfast but not all at once, I try to spread it out throughout the morning to help me not to snack, so I eat about 9ish then 10/11 am. But like I said its what works best for you0
