So I'm just curious how do you all log the couch to 5k? I will be starting the first day of it today. It looks to be more walking then jogging for this one, and since I do not have a HMR what do you put it under? I also was wondering if someone could tell me to be sure how many calories I have burned? I know each person is different. I'm about 175 and 5'3 not sure if that all matters, but I just want to get it as close as I can without the HMR.

    Hi

I have just started this and am on week 2

As I have a a Bodymedia Fit I know my cals so it is easy to log

I have just experimented on MFP and when I logged the time I had done against "Running (jogging), 5 mph (12 min mile)" the count came out about the same....

As MFP have a calculation built in for your weight etc.... you would most likley be safe using this to log the C25K well at least to start with....

    Hope this helps

  • Hmm, I did that program, and I did it on a treadmill, so I logged the amount of minutes at whatever pace I was running. Are you doing it outside or on a treadmill?

Outside, I do not have a treadmill or gym membership.

Right now I am on week do, and I have a treadmilll do its pretty easy to tell how fast I am going. I just do 9 minutes of running at 6m/h and 20 minutes of walking 4m/h. Together they add up to the amount of calories. As far as how much you burn. MFP actually changes the amount of calories for your workouts based on how much you tell it you weigh.
