Drinking Shakes for Breakfast... Help with Flavor?

Hey all!
I recently bought Alive! shake mix to have for breakfast. I love the vegetarian aspect, and it has all the vitamins I was trying to supplement! My only problem is the flavor. Can we just say it leaves little to desire.
What I was wondering is, what do you all add to your shakes to make them better? I used non-fat milk (I have the vanilla flavor, pea protein version)
It does not have to be the same brand or anything, I was just hoping for some pointers. I was hoping to bring it with me to work, so I wouldn't be able to use a blender there (I leave for work at 5am, but don't take lunch till 12:30, so I try to hold off on breakfast for a bit). That being said, If I need to blend it, I will.
Thanks for your help, all!

I would think fruit/fruit juice, peanut butter, milk, flavored yogurt, or anything else people make smoothies out of could be added to your shakes and help mask the flavor. You may have to experiment.0

Some things I've used:
-Cinnamon
- Instant Coffee
-Mint Extract
-Fresh Fruit
-Cocoa
-Sweetner
-Fresh Lemon
-Pureed Apples/Applesauce
-Graham Crumbs
-PeanutButter
Start thinkin of dessert flavors...you can mimic nearly anything.0 -

Total indulgence- I love egg nog and have been using it to mix my protein shake! I buy Kroger's Low Fat Egg Nog, but still, I really have to stop it!0

Frozen fruit is good, makes it more smoothie/milkshake like and frozen fruit is usually cheaper/easier to store.0
