I was so proud of myself, was doing fairly ok. Then this weekend, it all went down the toilet! UGH! Why is this sooooo hard? I'm doubting myself and I'm feeling sooo impatient because HONESTLY...my weight and poor self image and low self-esteem is getting in the way of other areas of my life, and it just makes me want to be thin and fit NOW! Not only so I can look good, but so I can feel good about myself. Instead, I'm feeling all poopy this evening. :'{ I just can't believe I let myself get like this to begin with. I shouldn't even have to be fighting to lose weight. This is ridiculous! Damn it!
I'm so frustrated with myself right now for falling off the wagon this weekend eating bad and not exercising and even more for letting myself get like this in the first place among other things. I'm just feeling overwhelmed by so much right now. Ugh. Anyway, i'm hoping this little vent will get all the poor pitiful me frustrations out, and that I can get back on track tomorrow. I just wish I could see some significant change to keep me motivated. I just keep feeling teased into thinking I'm gonna hit the 140s soon, but I just keep fluctuating within 5 lbs which is ok I guess, but even with my pigginess this wkend, I don't eat ANYTHING like I was. I wish it were simpler and faster.
Sigh. Btw-I'm 5' and my BMI is in the OBESE range so I'd like to at least get out of that once and for all. Uggggggggh.
Thanks for letting me vent. How do YOU stay motivated?

I think we all fall of the wagon once in awhile. I know I do, typically moreso on the weekends. Come Monday, I go right back on track if I can.
The important thing is getting back on track. If weight-loss isn't happening then see what you may or may not be doing wrong. Change your workout routine or something like that. Muscles have memory if you keep doing the same thing.
Keep going! You'll make your goals0 -
Forgive yourself. If I could go back in time about twenty years, I'd tell young me to forgive herself, and start fresh the next day.0

I have definately cut back my calories a lot during the week. I don't snack anymore or if I do it's something simple like maybe carrots or celery or like 5 crackers or something. I think I need more protein in my diet and I need more cardio. I've been doing squats and some simpler things like that during the day at work. teehee. I try to do whatever I can think of while I'm at the office because THAT is the time of the day I would LOVE to workout cause I actually FEEL like it. You know? So, I try and sneak to do things. lol0 -

Thank you (((HUGS))))0 -
I agree with precious. We all have bad days even a bad week like I did recently. I get motivated by seeing all my friends here doing well and plus I get motivated from seeing my progress to date. I acknowledge I had a bad day and I move on.
Try not to beat yourself up too bad. Just back on track. As precious said, look at your workout and change it up. Also make sure you log everything you eat and see where you need to work on. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. You can do this. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
You are a beautiful lady. Cheering for you. Best wishes.

Nah, nah, nah; you're going about this the wrong way!
Start thinking more positively. (Easier said than done, I know)
Don't get down about how you got the way you are. What you must focus on is the change you must bring to get you where you want to go. I didn't gain my weight in a single day, I look at that concept the same as I do with how I'm going to get this weight off and put my life back on track. It's not going to take me a single day to reach my goals. The same goes for you.
When counting to 1000, starting from one, it seems like it'd take a decent amount of time. If you look at the big picture, it'll seem like forever. Think about counting 10 digits per day. Then in no time, you'll reach 1000 without thinking about it.
This concept can be applied to your weight loss/fitness endeavors. Don't look at the big picture, just look at the immediate task you have in front of you; I promise, if you do it this way, you will get there shortly.
Remember, if you give up on yourself now... all of the hard work you've put forth thus far will go to waste. Nobody wants that!0 -
Thanks everyone! I'm feeling a little better today!!0
