 Hi, this is the first time i've posted on here, but there seems to be a lot of support around so thought i'd give it a go.
Was just wodnering how you all keep yourselves so motivated in the cold weather and how you keep going. Every year i tell myself i'll keep my fitness up through winter and every year i am dissappointed in myself. Findinf the motivation to go when it's cold outside seems to be my biggest battle (that alongside with how much i love food!) I'm getting tired of feeling huge and losing all fitness i have initially due to my own lainess. I've invested in a bike for fitness reasons and it's gettin me out more, but it obviously doesn't burn as many calories as running does. I've got the music and the gear, just lacking the motivation. If anyone has any tips i'll be more than happy to hear them!
Thanks a lot!

Is there anyway you could have access to a treadmill to continue your running? I just began running last summer and the thing that keeps me going out in the cold is my fear of losing the progress I've made and having to start over! I still go outside when it's in the 20'sF, but once we have snow and ice, I'll be on my treadmill.

    Good luck....and keep moving!

  • I could but it would mean goign to the gym (here i go again with the lazy excuses!) I lost a fair bit before going to uni and i know i can do it, i'm just such a yo yo dieter and i never seem to be able to stick to it, it affects self esteem aswell. I do think i need to hammer it inot my head that i will lose the progress i made, Thankyou for the kidn words, one day, i'll surprise myself by going through winter i hope!
