Get your attention?? LOL

Looking to cut my long hair off, but I have always been under the impression that long hair was "sexy". I would like to chop it off into a bob cut. Looking to see if anyone has any opinions as to whether or not short hair will make a person look thinner or sexier!

I think short hair is usually a bad idea, although that depends on a lot of variables.

  • Do you like short cuts? I think you should do whatever you want...as long as you like it, you'll look good either way

It depends on the person, I like my hair long and have had it short, but got a lot more complements on it being long.
You should photo shop a pic of yourself to make it seem like you have short hair. Then you can see if you would like to look like that every day.

I think you look beautiful your face (what I can see of it) seems to be quite slim already and doesn't need any slimming.
    Good luck!

If you cut it short, you'll probably love it for about a month and then wish it was long!

Do whatever makes you feel good about yourself. I am about to cut almost a foot off of mine so that it looks like this

Mine was long for about 40 years.........

When I cut it, I got MORE compliments and people said I looked younger.

I think young women look better with long hair, older women don't.

HOWEVER, it's YOUR hair.......do whatever you want with it.

It depends if you're ready to get an haircut more often. I love my hair shorter and think it's sexy, I had it long for a long time. I've had more compliments since i've cut my hair shorter.

SHORT. A woman that can wear a short haircut is sexy. It also shows that she is confident and can take on any situation.

Hair length by itself is not "sexy" - doing what's best for your body, face shape, hair style/texture, IS!
Just like fashion, one hairstyle does not suit all. Example, my mom and I are both six foot tall ladies but her face (and bone structure) is much narrower than mine. She wears her hair long, it makes her look stretched out and too rectangular. So, short for her. Me, I'm a much more athletic build with an oval face, so my hair can go various ways (short, long, etc). I have another friend who's always trying to grow her hair out b/c her husband prefers long hair, but honestly her hair is so thin and lank that she looks 350% better if she keeps it above chin length.
Find a style that YOU love and plays up YOUR best features, and the confidence you gain will more than overshadow anyone else's preconceived notions of "sexy"!!

I say long, but I'm biased.

I like mine in a chin-length bob. So does my husband. I tried the boy-cut thing last winter (even took in a picture of Sienna Miller). I got a lot of compliments on it but never felt very confident in it.

I just cut mine off BIG TIME ... somedays I really do miss it, but for the most part, I'm glad I cut it. It's easier, and works much better with my work-outs!!

Do what makes YOU feel good, and everything else will come together :)

i say do what you want.

i had long hair for YEARS and then went very short and it made my face look so fat, but in a way it was a good thing because i was motivated to lose 30lbs that yr. looked GREAT after i lost the weight.

now i'm growing back my hair... it can't grow fast enough. lol

My motto is: It's just hair. It'll grow back if you feel you made a "mistake."

I had long hair my entire life. Then right before I turned 23, I randomly decided to get a pixie cut. Everyone tried to talk me out of it, but I was determined. All those naysayers changed their tune after they saw it! I'd never felt so confident, or received so many compliments, than when I had that pixie cut. Once I reach my goal weight, I'm treating myself to that haircut again.

Do what makes YOU feel comfortable. But remember this--you'll never know unless you try! And like I said...it'll grow back if you don't like it! :flowerforyou:
