How much is too much weight loss per week?

I am losing around 1.5 pounds a week. Is that high? Can that cause health problems?

    No, it's advised you don't lose more than 2lbs a week, but at the start of a diet shake-up, you can lose more as your body response quickly to the change- as well as losing water weight- and then slows down the loss
  • That is healthy weight loss. 1.5 is the most you want to loose weekly though. any more than that you risk weight rebound.

    Yay! Thanks everyone! I've been feeling a bit under the weather and was afraid it may be related. Probably the beginning of allergy season!
