Starting out

So I am a total newbie when it comes to exercise. Is it good for my body to go from no exercise to 5 days a week? Or should I start with 4 days until my body gets used to it in a couple weeks? My plan is to do elliptical and weights 2 days a week, treadmill and weights 2 days a week and zumba one day a week. I worked out Friday, Saturday and yesterday and now today my whole body feels achy and sore. So is it best to take a rest day to let my body recover and back at it tomorrow?

I would rest if you are just starting out. A lot of people that start out gung-ho and workout 5-6 days a week slack off very quickly and ultimately give up. It's best to start out moderately and build up to where you want to be. It also helps to lessen soreness.0
