My attitude towards weight loss: "It's now or never!"

I've definetly been trying to lose weight since January, although my efforts proved unsuccessful. I thought all I had to do was join a gym, and then I'd be excercising & dropping weight. Wrong! I went for about the first 3 weeks, and then I barely went again. Then my doctor told me she felt I needed to lose weight. Visit after visit I was gaining weight, and she saw this unhealthy pattern. She encouraged me to go to the gym or excercise 6 times a week, preferably 7. So I did that, but then I realized I was still overeating. I lost about 10lbs, but it took a long time, because I had a lot of days where I was eating too many calories and not excercising enough or at all. But this time around, I feel different. I went on a "binge eating spree" for about two months after my 2nd attempt at dieting failed. I ate all the time, more than even before I dieted. I quickly gained back the 10lbs I lost & I felt horrible. So for me, this time around it really is now or never. The longer I wait, the harder it's going to get. I'll just gain more weight, and have that much more to lose. It's not worth it. I don't want to be this size forever, and the only way to change is to change my lifestyle. Believe me it's hard, but your attitude towards weight loss can make a world of a difference. Just knowing I won't have to be on as a strict diet as I am now is helping too. Sure I'm eating lean cuisines, and fast food, for the most part is not an option. I don't cook, so most of my meals used to come from fast food restaurants. My diet was greasy, unhealthy food. But yet, I've been back on my diet since the end of November (I had to wait until after Thanksgiving so I could enjoy the holiday lol) & I feel amazing. I've already dropped the 10lbs I gained back & I am going strong each day. Actually as I'm writing this, I realize I've only been on my "diet" for a few weeks, and am already seeing desirable results. I definetly want to incorporate more excercise into my routine, because I know that will help me to be healthy and in shape. Each day is a challenge, but I am proving to myself I can overcome any adversity or obstacles that come my way. I am learning how to portion my food, eat only when I'm hungry, drink water, and try to enjoy my food selection. I hope we all face our weight loss challenge with a positive attitude, and remain optimistic. We all have our days, but it's better than it being every day. Always remember the bottom line, and stay true to your goals. Find a diet and excercise routine that works for you & stick with it. Have the attitude of "It's now or never." Push yourself harder each & every day. Have a day where you don't watch your diet, maybe one or two times a month. It's all about finding the perfect balance and having the right attitude. And always remember we are all here to support you. Don't give up on your journey because you had a bad day or week. I can't even begin to imagine how many times I gave up on myself, just because I overate for a week. Just write it off, and go into the next day or week determined to stick to your goals. Sorry for rambling lol. I just want us all to be successful. It's hard, but it's not impossible. Add me as a friend if you would like, so we can support each other and see ourselves transform. I am making a promise to myself that I can & will do it, and I know you all will too. Take care =)

I share your pain. My weight loss is a journey. Not one that will take a month or two but for the rest of my life. I know where my weaknesses are and have to learn to overcome.

We are here for you and will support you on your journey.

Don't give up. Take one day at a time and never look back! Only look forward.
