So its Friday night and my husband made these pre-made frozen croissants <3 for dinner (I bought a case of right before I started here) I ate two! (698 calories ) so now I'm over by 100 calories and I'm just craving bad stuff!

:frown:

All I want to do is eat food that I know is bad for me.

I went for a brisk 45 minute walk, thinking it would make me feel better about the calories (which it did) but I want FOOD.

I'm ahead of my weight loss by a week (for a projected 2 lb per week weight loss since I started Jan 1). Do not want to mess it up but is a treat really be that bad? How often do you guys 'indulge' a little bit?

You got any gum or jello? Also maybe a cup of tea or cocoa might help or a nice hot bath and a book...As far as indulging I dont really deprive myself I just keep everything within my calories allowed..I measure everything ....a nice fruit salad may do the trick for you with FF whipped topping

Here's something that might help with that the carb craving.. fruit, something that way. I know it doesn't sound as exciting perhaps as junk food carbs but I'm wondering since you ate the crossants since they are totally carb, and oh, probably some fat tossed in...that's kicked in your huge craving for junk? If you have some carby food that's a bit on the healthier side might try that to calm down the cravings? Perhaps some raisins and some almonds? Like a combo deal carb/protein can often work as then the carb doesn't hit the blood stream and turn directly into sugar and then that's what can often kick in those awful cravings. The protein/fat can slow it down some so it calms down the cravings we sometimes get.

That's the toughie about carbs, some can kick in that craving so strongly...eek! Been there Chick, trust me I know!:blushing:  :flowerforyou:

  • Yum yum! Two pounds a week is not going to be easy, but you have to hang in there. I just want to chime in my vote for jello!!! oh and sugar free fudge pops! One thing that I have noticed, is I come back from walks or working out and I want to see instant and results, and go figure - NOTHING!
I just tell myself, "Honey, you didn't get here in one day, you sure aren't going to fix it in an hour!" and that really helps me stay the course. Also, I'm new to myfitnesspal and I just love it. Tracking the progress, its all great! If you need a walking buddy let me know, we can track our stuff together!

Over by 100 calories won't stop all your progress - unless you let it!
Stop right there & don't give in any more. Get out of the kitchen - go to a different room. Do something to distract you - after all, it's Friday night!
