I welcome anyone with a sense of humour who isn't evangelical about anything (no atkins, shakeology etc), who isn't going to be critical of whatever choices I make. I am not here for food advice, I am happy with my diet, my weight and my size. The only thing I am not happy with is my lack of any time to exercise!

Appreciation for poop and/or fart humor is always good.
  • I like using the message boards to connect with people, but at this point in my weight loss journey, I have only added people as friends who I know in real life. Maybe I'll feel more comfortable later, but right now, I like being left alone.

<soapbox> One thing that bothers me is when some MFP users criticize other MFP users who have their food diaries private. To me, keeping track of what I eat and how often I exercise is something I need to do anyway - whether I track it privately on pen and paper or electronically. I joined my MFP for the tracking aspect first, and the social aspect is an added bonus. I don't think I necessarily need to share my food diary to be successful; being accountable to myself is most important. However, I can definitely understand why that works for others. </soapbox>
Well I've only been using MFP for 38 days and just never opend my food diary. I do not read or commet on other Pals diaries unless I'm looking for more ideas with my daily intake. My goal is to get the push and ideas for new and creative workouts. I have a great group of Pals who do everything from hiking mountains everyday to weight training. And boy have I loved hearing their ideas! So new and refreshing!

    Stanky Whoopers!!!!

I look for humor, snarkiness and intelligence. I've got the motivation part down, but really appreciate the support my friends give.

I like humor, a little sass, a little something nice to look at never hurts.... someone that is active on the MFP site and isn't just going to sit in the sidelines. Gotta keep up w/ me, ya know?

Also, someone who has been through what I have, and has similar goals is always nice.

I have the perfect collection so I'm not looking -
but my FL is a culmination of hilarity, motivation, perversion, BM-appreciating, intelligent, mind-gutter residing, hard-working, and overall excellent people who keep me glued to this site.

I don't ask for much...mostly that they like me...I will have to say all my friends are the best :)

People who say things like this "if not then that was yesterday, today is the day you run after (the wagon), take a tire tool and beat the *kitten* out of the driver for not watching out for you :) Come on you are my strength, you inspire me to run like hell, your my friend... this to shall pass is what i have to say... love ya"...I need someone to give me straight up encouragement when I need it. I don't want someone that constantly spouts cliches, or unbelievable motivational quotes. I want someone that knows where I'm coming from and is real enough to relate.
  • I'm looking for information (already have learned so much), affirmation because I don't share my weight loss concerns with anyone other than on here or my husband, to lend an encouraging word or idea to someone else who might need it, and as icing on the cake I like to have a group who's Weightloss goals are at least in the same ballpark as my own so we can celebrate our accomplishments together.

I am looking for knowledgeable, goal oriented folks who will hold me accountable - a back pat for success and boot to the butt when I am bad.
And I also like those who open their diaries, keep them up and log in some good exercises.

Losers, nut jobs and crybabies need not apply...

I am looking for encouragment, motivation and support. Someone who views my activities and diary and gives me motivating comments and advice. And lets me know if they feel I should or could be doing something different. Any suggestions are usually welcome.

I'm not looking for friends. I am happy with the group I have. They are smart, supportive and funny. They are at various levels of fitness, but they all do their best and don't make excuses. They have chosen to learn about nutrition and exercise, and so we all learn from each other.

    My friends are absolutely wonderful.
What makes you so special that you get all the good friends?

i am looking for friends who have been where I am now. Someone who was over 300 lbs, and has lost, or is losing the weight. The ones I've come across only use the site for a week or two then disappear. I can motivate myself, but it's nice to have a few friends who know what it feels like when you can't fit into a chair. I've motivated myself to lose 31 lbs. since 9/1/11, and I've gained alot from MFP!

I just want funny friends. This crap is hard enough.. the whole weight loss/ getting healthier. Yes, WTGs are awesome and I love when I'm congragulated on NSVs, weight loss, etc but make me laugh and you can be my friend forever. I hope to provide the same.

This... along with a sense of humor and are not easily offended. I'm pretty close to my goal weight so those that can help me on my path to become one of those "bulky" (ha!) women are much appreciated.

I like friends that are active and encouraging on the site. People that work hard and/or have had success inspire me and keep me going on here.

P.S. I tend to gravitate towards blondes though I love brunettes and redheads too. I love all my friends – true story!

Seriously, I have an amazing group of friends as is. They each bring something different to the table.
My friends list growing any larger just makes it harder for me to be the kind of friend they need.

    Attributes of my friends..
Honesty, Sarcasm, Upbeat, Motivated, Hot (yep i said it), Dedicated, Funny, Outgoing... the list goes on.
I wouldn't trade any of them.. well ok maybe a few.

I'm looking for friends who are motivational and inspiring. If I see that you're working towards your goal then I'm going to add you. But if I see that you log on and log back on like a month later I'm taking you off.

Add me if you're always logging on and posting
