Off to a roaring start?

Hey I was wondering if anyone else lost a lot of weight in the first week. I set up to lose 1 lb per week and have already lost 3. I suspect it is because:
a) I'm set up as sedentary activity, but am a bit more active than that?
b) You tend to lose a lot in the beginning and then less later on?

Yes the first few weeks they say you will lose more, I actually lost almost 10 lbs the first week. The more you weigh the more you will lose the first few weeks. I was eating almost 4,000 calories a day and didnt realize it. Be prepared for that weight loss to slow down once your metobolism gets used to the lower intake of food and slows.0
