Pimp your 10k!!!

So I wanna do a fun 10k out of state next year, but not sure where to go.

What 10k or *gulp* 1/2 marathon do you do that you just love! :drinker:

Not sure about 10k's.... there are plenty of chartiable envents all over the country. But as far as Half Marathons... great venues here in Cali is the Orange County, in Newport......Santa Barbara..... and San Diego Rock n' Roll Half Marathon. My $0.02.

My list of favorites would be ones you've never heard of. I treasure the small, relatively unknown races. These are usually in locations that take your breath away, and involve sizable challenges.

This year - Man Against Horse (11 mile trail race); Flagstaff Half Marathon (trail); Jerome Hill Climb (uphill, dirt road); Cactus Cha Cha (7 mile trail race).

My list goes on and on of special, favorites. But those are some recent faves.
