I need help! I just got the app and started counting calories again today. I have done weight watchers before and it worked but counting calories just got boring. Then I found MFP. Its free weight watchers but you don't have points. Which always made me hungry. But here is my problem. Starting out on the app it said 1200 a day for me. Then I got on the website and I found that 1406 a day is the calorie intake I am suppose to have. I have decided that I am going to shoot in between the two but I am keeping the bigger number (1400) as my goal for each day. I felt like I did good today. I have drank well over 10 cups of water and still going. I have cut out sodas. (I sneak a few sips in the morning of diet dr pepper) All day I haven't felt hungry like I usually do. I was ok. But tonight when I sat down for dinner I seemed to not be able to get enough. I did not over indulge. I had 19 calories left. I waited 30 minutes to see if the hunger went away. An hour and a half later and I was still hungry. So I grabbed a roll. That set me over a little over 100 calories. I have kept drinking water thinking maybe I am just thirsty. It started to subside but now I am just hungry feeling again. I really don't want to eat. I have grabbed a few almonds but they aren't doing anything. What should I do? Ignore it and just go to bed or feed my stomach?

I was just looking and I saw the remaining. It says calories 614 carbs 117 fat 22 protein -11. My understanding was protein makes you feel full. Would my problem be that I am not eating enough carbs and good fats through out the day?
  • When I get hungry at night I found that a kids size yogurt helps me get thru the night. It might be the calcium or the protein. Whatever it is , it seems to work for me.
  • You may want to incorporate exercise into your daily routine, it allows you more calories (and I've also found im not as hungry after I workout). You may also want to make your diary public so that we can see it and maybe have a better idea of how to help. (I had a post regarding my diet also and was suggested to make mine public and received many helpful responses)

Thank you. I take calcium everyday. I think my problem is I haven't had the right foods today. I also usually drink a LOT of coffee in the morning and today I stopped by Strabucks and got coffee. Bad mistake. I have acid reflux and I went with a bold flavor so I didn't have any coffee today. Usually when I drink it I don't really feel hungry. I am not able to do any exercising until I get a trainer to show me work outs to do with my back. I do stand at my job so I did look into that to see if it was something for me to add and what I have found is it does burn calories so I added it and it did add calories back. But if I eat the calories I won back won't that just make me gain weight?
