motivate please help!

How do you guys motivate yourselves to go exercise? I've never had a problem with this! Lately, I've been really stressed with school and such and I took 4 days off because of shin splints and I can't seem to get myself moving. I think it's because I can't seem to lose any more weight no matter what I do because of an impossible plateau, I've tried changing things up but it's like NOTHING works lol Any help would be awesome, I'm sure this post could help lots of people! :happy:

this morning was a good example and one that happens to me often....I tell mself ..do it later....do it tomrrow....
so I go in my workout room..I converted a small bedroom into my workout area....it has mirrored closet doors.....take off my shirt and ask myself...you OK with that?
the answer has never been yes so I say ok...do 5 minutes of something, anything...and then 5 minutes turns into 10 and 20 and BAM!..you have done a workout.....its all good0 -
I am not a morning person.but I noticed if I do it at 5am I get it out of the way.Once I start then it feels good.0

Hiya!! Dont allow yourself any tv until you workout lol I do this daily and it seems to work for me..I dont touch my soaps or anything else until I have gotten in my daily workout!!...You might also want to try doing it first thing in the morning before you get tied up doing other stuff..Good Luck!!:drinker:0

I think of the extra calories I will earn
That will get me out there if nothing else. Plus my hubby is a great motivator- he will always join me to go to the gym, so I am very Lucky about that!

jsut keep in mind, for most people the hardest thing about working out-is not the workout itself, but getting out the darn door. sometimes i have to push myself, and when i do it feels so good to actually do it. would haveing a workout buddy help? look into that, try different times of the day too. i go at night becasue of school as well. hope this helps, jenn0

I always feel better after I work out when I am stressed-and if you need some extra motivation, try different exercises! Sometimes, switching things up, or taking a new class, can make things more about having fun and less about exercising... That's why I play coed volleyball twice a week-it's about having fun and not just working out. Maybe you could find something you enjoy doing rather that something that burns calories for you?:bigsmile:0

Thats you guys! Yea I think I'm going to try the early morning thing, I'm going to put my alarm clock across the room haha And I wish I had a workout buddy but my friends don't workout like I do, they go to the gym and I run and they don' t go as much, we just have different lives! haha Thanks :happy:

I had a really hard time getting up in the morning to exercise, but someone suggested sleeping in your workout clothes... Sounds weird, but it did help me out until I got used to the early schedule!!!:laugh:0

Hmm... I'm not sure I can sleep in a sports bra lol, shoes too? haha jk thanks for the tip! My friends used to do that when we had vball tournaments at 7 am! So maybe I'll try that.
