We just inheritated a 3 year old teacup chihuahua that is not housebroken. We think litter box training would be the way to go. Has anyone else done this and can provide any tips?

I think it would be better if you occasionally took him/her outside and disallowed doing it's business inside because dogs weren't meant to be litter boxed.

But if you insist then I would google the subject.
I have 1 cat and 4 kittens and I wish I could say that I trained the but I didn't, it was their instinct and mummy helped them :)

    But good luck anyways!

I know it's not what you are looking for so I should just keep quiet, but I have to agree with lisaelainee... dogs are meant to poo and pee outside. My mother in law has a chucks pad on her kitchen floor so that the dog doesn't have to go out. It has never even stepped foot on bare ground and IMO THAT is ridiculous....
