since 30 July, yes that's right, today my weight loss reached 45 pounds which is the same weight as my 6 year old
I think this shows just how much 45 pounds does weigh because I struggle to pick her up and I used to carry that around and not even think of it.
Onwards and upwards

Great work and i know exactly what you mean, my daughter is 42lbs and thats my planned weight loss, you get a real sense of just how much it is when you pick them up.0

Awesome, and we all carry that extra weight around with us and don't even think about just how difficult it is unless you do pick up something or someone weighing that amount. I'm sure you are so glad to NOT be carrying that weight any more. Congrats.0

Great job! I definitely recognized when I hit that point. Right now I've lost my 10.5-month-old son x3
Sometimes I am carrying him around and get tired (because, well, he's not a light baby!) and think WOW I was carrying around much more than that not too long ago (and even more when I was pregnant with him - about 90 pounds more, to be exact)!

Reminds of the final challenge they do on the Biggest Loser. They make them walk/run a race wearing weights that equal the weight they've lost. Each checkpoint represents a weigh-in, and they ditch however much weight they lost at that weigh-in. Most of them are shocked at how heavy the weight is that they've lost. Kind of puts it in perspective...0

Great job! My kids, and grand-kids for that matter, are a bit to old to lose their weights so I guess I'll just have to find something else for an example.
:ohwell:
p.s. Plus the grand-kids are growing so fast! No way I can lose as fast as they grow! :bigsmile:0 -
When you put it that way it does make you realize how much extra weight can bog us down. No wonder being overweight makes us feel so "heavy"............
Good job on the loss!0 -
